Well-Known Manufacturer’s Oils Will Now Be Sold in Recycled Bottles

20 Oct 2024

The introduction of fully recycled packaging to the European market is the result of supplier engagement and extensive cooperation within the supply chain. Before the end of this year, 5 million such bottles will appear in Europe. In subsequent stages, the brand plans to implement this solution globally, realizing its sustainability goals.

Decision Made with the Future in Mind
By using fully recycled materials, the company reduces the amount of packaging materials derived from fossil fuels and lowers carbon dioxide emissions. As a result, each 1 l and 5 l bottle will have a total carbon footprint 68% lower than a bottle produced without using recycled materials. To achieve this result, FUCHS, in cooperation with suppliers, improved production technology without compromising product quality, streamlining the production process.

As part of further efforts to achieve its sustainability goals, FUCHS has committed to reducing emissions across the entire value chain (cradle-to-grave) by at least 90% by 2040 (compared to 2021). In addition to working on the material base, according to the latest full annual sustainability report, since 2021, FUCHS has reduced its carbon footprint by 14.8%. This includes all emissions within the company that FUCHS can directly influence.
