Magneti Marelli Parts & Services presents its new Wall Box: technology, safety and flexibility for the recharging of electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles

Magneti Marelli Parts & Services presents the new Wall Box, a charging station for electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles developed in collaboration with SCAME, in compliance with international electrical safety regulations (IEC/EN 61851-1 and IEC/EN 61439-7).

The product extends the Magneti Marelli Parts & Services hybrid-electricrange and represents a practical and efficient solution for the recharging of vehicles in workshops and in residential settings (private car parking, garages and apartments).

The Wall Box is available in two models: the first has a power of 7.4 kW, a nominal voltage of 230 V and nominal current of 32 A; the second has a power of 22 kW, a nominal voltage of 400 V and nominal current of 32 A. Both models offer mode-3 charging with a PWM pilot circuit for the efficient management of charge current, protection with direct contact shuttering (inhibiting access to the socket without the correct plug) and measurement of absorbed current.

The Wall Box has been designed to be used freely, without the need for a card or other form of identification.
It is fitted with a 2 x 2-line backlit display that provides information on recharge status: available current, current supplied and time spent recharging. An optional 7.4 kW or 22 kW 5-m cable with Type-2 socket allows for increased flexibility in recharge point use.

The Wall Box has a dust and spray protection level of IP54, and an operating temperature range of between -30°C and +50°C. This guarantees long product life and increased reliability in use.

Its vertical design and compact dimensions (235 x 114.5 x 370 mm) allow it to be easily installed on walls, occupying limited space.
