Škoda Citigo: Malfunction of the radiator fan motor

The radiator fan motor in the Skoda Citigo ran continuously when the ignition was turned off. What was the cause of this malfunction? This was determined by Autodata specialists.

We have a problem with a 2012 Škoda Citigo with the radiator fan motor running continuously when the ignition is turned off. We did the basic wire inspection, but did not find the cause of the problem. Have other Citigo owners reported this problem before?

A: The described fault applies to all Citigo models and it’s caused by a faulty control computer of the radiator fan motor. Install a new radiator fan motor control computer fig.1.1. In order to perform the repair, the motor control computer must be reprogrammed with updated software from the manufacturer.
