Repairs profitability calculator – check what the garage makes the most money on

10 Jun 2020

The price of service, margin on parts and required time. These components are enough to calculate which repairs are the most profitable to carry out. In the new edition of our repairs calculator, we suggest three popular garage services. Which one will be the most profitable? We will calculate it based on our readers’ responses. Feel free to take part in a short survey

For the purpose of using our calculator, we assumed that all of the following services are related to a Volkswagen Passat B7 car made in 2010. This is a model with the popular 2.0 TDI (140 hp) engine, front-wheel drive and manual transmission.

Within the Passat, we will replace the clutch, front shock absorbers and tires, and the repair will be carried out by one garage worker. What will be the most profitable? Fill out our survey, and we will soon calculate everything on the basis of the collected results and present them in the article. This will inform you what the average results are in your country and whether the services you provide are cheaper or more expensive than those of your competitors’.
