KENDA Tires Europe – Business Success Drives New Appointments
KENDA Tires Europe has announced some major changes to its senior management team structure, to better equip the business as it enters the next stage of its development. This news follows a sustained period of sales growth, despite the tough business climate dictated by the global Covid pandemic.
Henno Plaggenborg has been promoted to the role of Director of Automotive Division, Europe and will report to Jimmy Yang, Managing Director, KENDA Tires Europe. Michael Eckert assumes the position of Automotive OEM Sales Manager, Europe, and will report to Henno Plaggenborg.
With a wealth of industry knowledge, Henno has been a valuable and motivating member of the company for the past three years; in business development where he excelled in both customer and in-house team relations.
With more than 25 years’ experience, Michael has learned his craft from grass roots level up; having started his career as a tire technician and then earning his stripes as a race engineer. Having risen through the ranks to hold senior positions with tier one industry names, Michael has been part of the KENDA Tires Europe team for one year, and is promoted from Senior Sales Manager.
“As a strong and ambitious company, we have a diverse portfolio that offers innovative solutions designed to meet the challenges facing European drivers,” said Jimmy Yang.
“Our aim is to champion all the unique qualities that come with the KENDA brand, evolving in line with the everchanging needs of the global vehicle car parc. Our goal is to grow KENDA market share in Europe, take the brand to new heights and extend our customer base.”
“I’d like to congratulate Henno and Michael,” he continued. “With their personalities, company & industry knowledge, I’m certain that they are the right people to take KENDA Tires Europe forward as we enter an exciting new chapter. Despite one of the hardest years on record for the industry, we’ve seen consistent growth and we look forward to a bright future for the business.”
