Frankfurt am Main, one of the largest business centers in Europe, will once again become the world’s automotive capital. The upcoming edition of the Automechanika trade fair will take place from September 10-14, 2024. In current times, is it still worth attending a trade fair organized in the traditional format?

Automechanika 2024 – How Important Is This Edition?

Two years ago, we participated in the first fully post-pandemic edition of Automechanika. It was a successful edition, considering that just a few months before its organization, many circles were predicting the end of traditional trade fairs. At that time, 2800 companies participated in the event, and the result would have been even higher if not for the ban imposed by the organizers on Russian and Belarusian companies. As for this year’s edition, the participation of 2600 companies from 175 countries worldwide is currently confirmed. This number is likely to increase as some exhibitors will decide to take advantage of “last minute” offers.

The previous edition saw a record number of Polish companies participating. This year too, many domestic entrepreneurs are heading to Frankfurt. Automechanika is still a place where business contacts can be established and even agreements signed on the spot. Even in the era of the global village, personally established relationships are important for companies in our industry.

What and Who Will We See at Automechanika 2024?

This year’s fair will include manufacturers of spare parts, electronic systems, software, as well as service providers. Among the exhibitors will be both global giants and start-ups looking for investor support. Of course, the overarching theme of the fair will be the transformation towards sustainable automotive. The fair will present solutions aimed at reducing CO2 emissions, as well as modern technologies supporting recycling, factory regeneration, and material reuse. Participants will have the opportunity to see live systems and components used in electric, hybrid, and even autonomous vehicles.
