MANN+HUMMEL enters the field of water filtration
|
Korean subsidiary of international filtration specialist MANN+HUMMEL enters the field of water filtration.
MANN+HUMMEL Dongwoo with locations in Seoul, Munmak and Ulsan plays a major role within the Asia strategy of the Germany-based filtration specialist and is extending its business base in the field of water treatment and water filtration. The group aims to increase its Asian sales share from 14% in 2010 to 25% in 2018, increasing total company sales from 2.18 billion euros in 2010 to 3.4 billion euros. "Korea is one of our core Asian markets and one of the keys to success. We are very proud to announce that our filtration experts located in Seoul now also offer solutions for water applications for the Korean market" says Mr. Claude Mathieu, CEO of MANN+HUMMEL Dongwoo.
On the occasion of the 2011 ENVEX environmental trade show in Seoul, for the first time in Korea the company will launch highly effective systems for the re-use, recycling and conservation of water designed to meet the needs of Korean customers: highly standardised, modular and highly adaptive with no need for further engineering at the customer site. In addition, the modular design allows modifications according to all customer needs.
Market requirements are focused on municipal and industrial water purification, so to say tap water treatment, waste water recycling, and waste water discharge. As environmental regulations regarding waste water treatment become stricter, the need for waste water filtration is constantly growing. MANN+HUMMEL water filtration solutions cover a wide range of applications, e.g. in the food, textiles, paper and pulp industries, and also in hotels and resorts.
MANN+HUMMEL’s water division has its headquarters in Singapore. The company runs water R&D centres in Singapore and Germany and Korean water filtration experts operate out of Seoul.
